Omet and Durst have taken another step forward in the evolution of hybrid printing with the Omet XJet powered by Durst. The press offers faster speeds, wider widths and higher print quality in a more compact, user-friendly and integrated product, along with fully automatic register and control.

The Omet XJet printing press is the result of the combination between Omet’s flexo capabilities and Durst’s digital inkjet printing technology, plus exclusive finishing and converting units to obtain the final product in a single pass. This partnership is intended to provide the maximum level of productivity, independent from the length of the run.

On the XJet, printers enjoy the benefits of digital technology, such as immediacy, variable data, personalization and high uptime, along with new high performance features such as inline integration of finishing units (cold foil, hot foil, silk screen, varnish, and more) and converting units (multi-layer, diecutting, slitting). Additionally, Omet’s flexo stations enable primers and special varnishes application, Pantone or metalized color printing. Printers can choose the most convenient combination of technologies for every run, adapting the production to changeable market trends like personalization, just-in-time deliveries and final product valorization.

The press’ newest features include faster speeds (80 m/m up to 100 m/m), wider solutions (330, 420, 510 mm digital printing widths), and the automatic nozzle compensation system, ensuring the high quality for day-to-day production.

Omet hybrid platforms are now capable of producing shrink label printing and many other applications, along with the printing of every kind of self-adhesive label.
